Afternoon in Bruges: a photo diary

With its historical monuments, medieval buildings, and picturesque corners, Bruges feels like a fairytale. It’s one of those places in Belgium you definitely don’t want to miss, regardless of whether you’re visiting in spring, summer, autumn, or winter.

We set off to Bruges with a group of photographer friends on a sunny day in late May. The moment we stepped into town, we were greeted with cobbled streets and medieval charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

For someone who is into taking pictures, Bruges is a creative paradise. You could literally spend hours walking down a single street capturing every detail — something I am definitely guilty of.

TIP: Observe the play of light and shadow on the buildings throughout the day and watch the sun slowly make its way across the sky until it finally starts setting behind the Belfry of Bruges, visible from the famous Rozenhoedkaai.
